This weekend we demoed our new turntable at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, IL. Our booth was nestled in the center of Union Park, where we were spinning tunes, handing out stickers, and giving folks a chance to try out our new vertical format. We had a great weekend, and were so excited to hear that more than a handful of people who stopped by had already backed the project on Kickstarter.

We loved your reactions to our on-board speakers, and couldn't help but smile when one or two of you would shimmy up to the booth during Michael Jackson's Thriller.

The Floating Record and our custom record labels.

We especially enjoyed all of your questions about line-out options, tracking force, and vertical playback. It was also nice to see so many of you taking pictures and sharing with friends.

Thriller's 25th anniversary LP spins vertically.

Or letting the Floating Record catch your eye from afar.

Pitchfork attendees at our booth on Sunday afternoon.

And just flat-out confounding you.

If you weren't able to attend Pitchfork, but are interested in seeing the Floating Record in person, we'll be hosting another event this Thursday, July 23rd, from 7-9pm. We're gathering at Revolution Brewery, where we'll be spinning tunes with music provided by Reckless Records. RSVP via Facebook—we hope to see you there!
